A new vision: ACT for Madagascar

As we enter a new phase of growth and impact, we are proud to present our strategic vision for ACT Empowered from 2025 to 2030. Your unwavering support has been instrumental in our ability to empower vulnerable communities, and we are excited to share our upcoming initiatives with you.
New commitment 2025-2030: ACT for Madagascar
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Project Help Madagascar (PHM) to complete the construction of a much-needed hospital in the rural area of Inanontanana. This initiative, named ACT for Madagascar, is a testament to our continued commitment to improving the life quality of the underserved populations.
✈️To kickstart this collaboration, we will be traveling to Madagascar from May 10th May 25th, 2025, to actively participate in the project and assess how we can further contribute to its success. A short recap of 2024
This past year, we expanded our efforts and achieved remarkable milestones, thanks to t generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers. Some of our key accomplishments include:
Fundraising events:
➔ Through our Spleis campaign, we raised 23,820 NOK to support orphaned children and vulnerable families.
➔ Our participation in the Oslo Food Festival brought together 19 volunteers, raising 20,000 NOK through baking sales.
➔ A stand-up comedy show in 2024 raised 5,000 NOK
➔ Another event in January 2025 generated 19,000 NOK.
Community outreach:
🍋We partnered with Lemonadesykkelen to distribute warm soup to the homeless in Oslo, reinforcing our commitment to supporting marginalized groups.
Exciting Plans for 2025 and beyond
In 2025, we will continue engaging with our community through events and fundraising initiatives:
🧁Oslo food festivals – we will be attending two festivals, one in May and another in August, where we aim to raise further funds for our initiatives.
🌴Strengthening our partnership with PHM – our collaboration over the next five years wi be instrumental in ensuring the completion and operational success of the hospital in Madagascar.
🔊New fundraising and volunteer engagement opportunities – we will continue to create diverse and meaningful ways for our supporters to contribute to our mission.

OSLO FOOD FESTIVAL 2024 ➔ 2025
We are delighted to share the incredible success of Act Empowered's participation in the Oslo Food Festival 2024! This year, thanks to the dedication of our 19 amazing volunteers, we raised an impressive 20,000 NOK through our baking sales—more than doubling last year’s fundraising total.
This achievement was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Tromaha Consultant, whose unwavering support covered all our participation costs, allowing us to maximize the impact of our efforts. We are deeply grateful for their continued partnership and belief in our mission.
Events like the Oslo Food Festival highlight the power of community, collaboration, and generosity. With the support of passionate volunteers and committed sponsors, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of the children we serve.

ACT Empowered's Ramadan Campaign - April 2024
In April 2024, ACT Empowered successfully conducted a Ramadan campaign, raising 23,829 NOK through the website Speils. We are incredibly grateful for the support that enabled us to assist families and children in need.
Our campaign aimed to support orphaned children and internally displaced families in the Somali region of Ethiopia. Your donations provided nutritious food and new clothes for Ramadan and Eid, ensuring these children could celebrate with dignity and pride.
In addition to meeting immediate needs, we focused on long-term solutions by aiming to raise 5,000 NOK per family to help them start their own businesses. These funds have empowered families to become economically independent, providing them with a sustainable source of income. Last year, similar efforts enabled many families to achieve remarkable growth and self-sufficiency.
100% of your donations went directly to these causes, making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most. Your generosity has transformed lives, allowing orphaned children to experience a joyful Ramadan and helping struggling families build a brighter future.
